The family musical returns to theatres across the UK. This brand new imagination of Leslie Bricusse’s musical is produced by Musical and Lyrics and stars Mark Williams as Doctor Dolittle. The Doctor is joined by all his animal friends on his adventures to meet the Giant Pink Sea Snail and the double headed Pushmi-Pullyu.
The production sees Ben specifying some brand new technology to achieve quality sound enforcement and communications for the tour. The idea was to make as much of the infrastructure as possible digital.
The system design revolved around a Digico SD7T Quantum mixing console with 4 distributed SD Mini Racks on the Optocore Loop as well a Dante Network for sound effect playback, external effects processing and radio microphone monitoring.
Another big change in infrastructure was the communications, both the comms and cue light systems were switched to network based solutions. GreenGo wired and wireless comms were in place across the show with cue lights coming from GDS.
